Yay! Daddy is back in Eugene! After settling our furry boys at home, we set off for Eugene! We didn't get far before Daddy got pulled over by the mean Deputy. Apparently, changing your mind on where you want to turn in the middle of the left-hand turn lane is frowned upon. :P Fortunately, he let us off with a warning (and a story about how his daughter was born 3 or 4 weeks early, too, and only weighed 5 lbs at birth), and then we were free to drive the speed limit all the way to Eugene! (Which is fun in Philomath, because it's 25mph. :) )

| Brothers after their first tub bath! |
We arrived at about 7:45, just in time for Mommy to pump again. The boys had their first head ultrasounds early this morning to check for intracranial bleeding (common complication in preemies), and they both look great! Tonight is a big night - first tub baths and fashion show! First, bath time! They have both gained weight - up to 1467 grams for Aidan (he was born at 1360gms), and 1336 grams for Jacob (1260gms at birth). Milk - it does twin bodies good! :) They did remarkably well with their tub baths - no crying, screaming, whining, or trying to jump out of the tub... oh wait, that's Bailey... but they did great!
We relaxed with the boys kangaroo-style for a bit, then got them ready for their fashion show. So many clothes, such little bodies! We chose the smallest of their new outfits - they're rockin' the onesies! Surprisingly, Jacob is almost long enough to fit nicely into his onesie. Aidan is wearing the slightly larger of the two, so he keeps losing his little feeties in the legs when he moves. But the way they're packin' on the grams, it won't be long before they're the most stylin' boys in the NICU! In fact, I think I see a hint of cheeks in the latest pictures!

Looks like it is fashion show day for the boys, and the blog too. Stylin'! Just when I think your boys can't get any cuter they prove me wrong. They are rocking preemiehood for sure!
ReplyDeleteAlso, were our dogs separated at birth? Because bath time sounds awfully familiar! Fraidy cats! ;-)
I didn't think they could get cuter. But I was wrong. they are even more adorable in onesies. Loving the feet animals. :))
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the boys are the cutest, most handsome boys ever! I bet the girls in NICU are already in love! You guys are awesome about updating their progress!!! Love reading each day! And no, Gavin, not all deputies, or men in uniform are mean! :)
