Today, Grandma Lynne flew back to California, but not before getting a good solid dose of her grandsons! Jacob was a breast-feeding star today, taking in 10cc's when they only expect (at his age) about 1-2cc's per feeding. Go Jacob! At this point, the boys are on cruise control - but like I say at work, this is not the place to be exciting!

They continue to grow - both boys gained about 1 1/2 ounces yesterday! They are showing more and more interest in breastfeeding - when Amy found out that the only thing left for them to do is ditch the gavage (tube) feedings, she was even more gung ho than the boys! :P She continues to pump, trying to stay as far ahead of them as we can. But at 37cc's each per feeding, 8 times a day, they're making up ground quickly! We've started fenugreek to help with Amy's milk supply.

The girls finally met their brothers today! Thanks to "Tango", we were able to establish a video chat connection last night so they could see them "in action"! Of course, they were mostly asleep and not active at all by that time, but at least we have the means of communicating now! We had tried FaceTime before, but there's not a strong enough wifi connection to support it. Tango is limited, but at least it connects.

  1. Oh sure, THAT one goes thru!

So, anybody want to guess how badly I wanted to make a whiskey tango foxtrot joke about that wifi? Anyone? Oh, hey, look at that!

Seriously though, yay for Tango & the girls finally meeting their brothers via cyber space!
