Surprisingly enough, today is the boys' original due date.  Crazy that they are already 10 weeks old on the day they were supposed to be born??  So, in celebration of their due date, we are taking them to the doctor for their 2 month immunizations ;0( .  The day started out not so good as Jacob decided to spend most of the night crying and fussing instead of sleeping.  So when they got up to eat at 7am we were already behind for getting them to their 9am appointment.  After they ate, Gavin and I quicky took our showers and we all loaded into our new van to go to their pediatrician's office for a morning of torture on the boys and us!  Their check up went well.  They are both growing like crazy!  Aidan is now 7lbs 12oz and Jacob is 7lbs 8oz.  A far cry for the 3lbs and 2lbs 12oz they were at birth!  They each got a clean bill of health and then the fun began....the poor nurse that has to do immunizations.  I can't even imagine.  Jacob was the first to endure the torture.  Daddy held him while the nurse gave him an oral immunization as well as the 3 shots that happened after.  He screamed with each one but then calmed down when they were done and daddy snuggled with him.  He remained fussy while mommy stepped up to the plate with Aidan.  He did well with his oral immunization and then screamed with each poke for his shots.  He quickly calmed down as well after mommy held him a bit.  The drive home was quiet and then once home the boys stayed fussy for the rest of the afternoon. I felt bad for the poor guys so I gave them each some Tylenol that seemed to help take the edge off.  Both of them slept most of the afternoon and into the evening.  I am glad that we all have survived the first det of shots.  Next shots will be next Monday when they get their RSV shots ;0( .  Not fun!
