Spoooooooky! We had a great Halloween yesterday. Gavin made his infamous Jello Halloween molds for the office staff and they had a blast with them! He made his alien autopsy and worms to share at the office potluck. I got to go and bring the boys so we could show them off at the office. We had a great time passing the boys around to everyone and everyone thought they looked great in their "costumes". Our evening was very low key. We had 1 trick-or-treater at 8:40. Really? 8:40? Shouldn't you be in bed? ;0)
So...how to deal with 2 babies with acid reflux? Uhg. We finally got Aidan about taken care of with his meds and now Jacob has started with the reflux. How do I know this?? He takes about 20 ounces of his bottle and then starts screaming ;0( He has always had issues every once in a while with acid but now it's constant. And of course, since he is not eating he is ALWAYS hungry which means no one is sleeping. I feel bad for the poor guy. We keep shoving gripe water and Mylicon down him before every feeding hoping that he'll be comfortable enought to finish it. We were able to get him in to the doctor today at 2:45 so hopefully we'll be able to get medicine for him as well. We also got the okay for the appointment for Aidan. We'll be traveling to Portland on December 9th for our consultation appointment where we will find out more about his surgery. Now we are dealing with the reality that our once romantic, quiet nights are now filled with poor screaming babies with upset tummies...and trying to keep Aidan quiet enough not to flare up his hernia. Quite a difference! We had some idea what we were in for....and as crazy as it is now, it's totally worth it to have these 2 beautiful boys with us.
